QA Analyst

Overview

We are expanding the QA/Testing capability within our development team and are looking for an experienced QA professional to join the team.

Role Profile

We are looking for a methodical, logical and organised person with proven QA experience. As a software company focused on the collection and analytics of patient-identifiable data, both the integrity of the user (web) application as well as the reliability of our data and analytics is of the utmost importance. As we grow the business and expand the product this role will contribute to our continued success. The right candidate will be a team player and work closely alongside both the commercial and technical teams. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-growing team at a critical stage of growth, within a sector which is ripe for technical innovation. Experience working in patient-facing healthcare software would be an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will be testing the .NET based web platform, as well as QA related to infrastructure, reporting and data validation.

 Key responsibilities span the entire development cycle:

  •  Understand end user requirements and the business logic of the system and be able to document/describe the accurately

  • Creating test plans

  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy of reporting algorithms across the platform

  • Use the plan to assess functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other systems

  • Developing and maintaining test script

  • Assisting with test automation plans and building automation suite

  • Using the plan to proactively find and document software bugs

  • Looking for ways to prevent bugs affecting the live application

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience of working in a structured QA environment

  • Proven experience of testing of complex web application

  • Knowledge of a broad range of software applications and of hardware and networks

  • A good understanding of business in general

  • Ability to think in the abstract and see how small details affect the operations of the business

  • Experience working in a data-orientated business where data accuracy and integrity is key

  • A meticulous and enthusiastic approach to work

  • A solid understanding of Agile processes 

  • Ability to work with the team and clients to analyse requirements as part of the JIRA process

  • Ambitious with sufficient experience to lead the QA function and be self-sufficient

  • Data validation and integrity testing

  • Automation skills and experience an advantage, if not then keen to learn

  • Ideally, the candidate should be confident, with great communication skills, able to work with clients
