We have a number of open programme delivery manager positions at both junior and senior level.

MCO was founded in 2011 by doctors keen to create a useful and usable web-platform to help colleagues remotely monitor and manage their patients. MCO has been in constant clinical use and development ever since, and is currently live at over 200 UK NHS and private hospitals.

MCO is a dynamic company of passionate software developers, analysts and digital healthcare specialists. We are and have been involved in a number of leading innovation programmes such as the Digital Health London Accelerator programme, NHS Scotland’s Cancer Innovation Challenge, GE Healthcare’s ‘Edison Accelerator’ programme, and are engaged with the pan-European H2O Health Outcomes Observatory project that has 24 healthcare partners across 4 EU countries covering 3 disease areas.

About The Role

First and foremost, we are looking for a commercially minded Programme Delivery Manager who is driven and happy to get stuck in. The role is varied with a range of responsibilities, giving great exposure to working in a dynamic healthcare company. Key responsibilities

1.     Project delivery

  • Responsibility for management of often large, complex projects that involve multiple clinical teams, each with different objectives and challenges.

  • Onboarding of new clients: account planning, understanding clients’ requirements and ensuring a smooth roll-out of the MCO service for all stakeholders involved.

  • Tracking of client stakeholders, the status of each workstream and actions; this will involve understanding clients’ data and being able to summarise key insights and conclusions.

  • Managing and running regular project meetings with clients – both at a programme level but also with individual clinical teams.

  • Reporting of progress to MCO management via weekly meetings / dashboards / communications as well as identification of improvement opportunities and supporting with delivery of the growth strategy.

  • Liaising with the technical team to feed in new technical requirements from clients, coordinate and communicate roll-out of the platform to new clinical teams as well as delivery of new features. 

2.     Change management

  • Ensuring client success (where success varies by client!) and maximising use and value of the MCO platform.

  • Training of users – creation of training materials (often customising existing PowerPoint and Word templates) and delivery of training to doctors, nurses, managers and administrative staff.

  • Creation of patient materials – bespoke to each client and clinical pathway.

  • Troubleshooting – understanding issues that may be limiting uptake of the platform and applying structured thinking to suggest improvement opportunities to clients e.g. understanding the patient pathway and identifying touchpoints where patients can be asked to register with MCO; understanding clinical workflows and how MCO can fit into existing ways of working.

  • Communications – ensuring regular day-to-day contact with clients. Considering messaging to patients and clinical teams to help get their buy-in.

 

The key skills we expect from any applicant are:

  • Prior relevant project management experience, including ideally in healthcare SaaS and in the NHS in particular.

  • Proactive attitude and interest in problem solving.

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

  • Strong numeracy.

  • Ability to quickly get familiar with new systems and processes.

  • Proficient at Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Interest in, and ideally experience of working in, the healthcare industry.
