Trigger Project Presented at NCRI Conference

NOVEMBER 2019

As our partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and The Royal College of Radiologists continues and expands to other NHS sites, Project Trigger was presented at the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Conference in Glasgow.

Our partners discussed the recent successes of the project in supporting people “living with and beyond cancer”, with 336 patients having registered in the first 9 months, tracking symptoms after the completion of pelvic radiotherapy in order that they might be directed to appropriate services if their online assessments raise suggest potential late toxicity. 85% of patients reported that they find it a helpful addition.

“These promising results show that electronic PROMS can be introduced in radiotherapy departments using a low resource model….Patients engage with electronic PROMs projects, and find them useful.”
